We currently offer an array of home care services including but not limited to:

- – Companion services to Doctors Appointments/Errands
- – Housekeeping
Since we work under the parent company of BJCC we also have Social Workers who will help with services including:

- – Housing Assistance
- – Transportation
- – Food Assistance
Accessing Home Care is really easy and can be done in a few simple steps.

- Ask to speak to Emanuel Badger, Field Service Manager, or Wilhelmina Hobson, Director of Patient Services
- Applicants must either have Medicaid or private pay/private insurance. If you do not have Medicaid our Social Workers will guide you in applying. If you do not qualify we will write up a contract for you and assign a home attendant to service you.
- Once Medicaid is obtained, you must call your doctor to have them assess that you need Home Care Services and create an order.
- You must call your insurance company and inform them that you need Home Care Services (providing them with your doctor’s order) and request Bronx Jewish as your provider.
- The insurance company will make a field visit and determine how many hours are appropriate and for what type of care.
- The insurance company will let us know the days and hours assigned to the client and we will deploy home attendants to service the client.
*We are not a Certified Home Health Care so we are unable to accept clients with Medicare.

Employment Application Requirements
- Valid Home Health Aide Certificate (Original)
- Unexpired State issued photo ID (Ex: NYS
- ID/Driver’s License/Permit)
- Employment Eligibility Documentation (Ex: US Passport, Permanent Residency card, Work authorization and Social Security card)
- Two original reference letters (must include date, signature address and phone number)
- Physical Report (Not older than 6 months) Must include ppd or Quantiferon Readings, Rubella/Rubeola immunizations, Drug Screen with chain of custody of at least 8-panels. We will schedule a physical at our own expense if no recent physical available.
