Be part of something bigger by participating in one of BJCC’s engaging volunteer opportunities. Through individual and group projects, volunteers have a chance to create change in the community, directly! We aspire to meet needs as they arise. Each day brings new opportunities and challenges.

The BJCC Volunteer Corps Offer the Following Opportunities:

  • Special skill volunteers in areas such as: office administration, client intake assistant, tax preparation, lecturers on art and other topics of general interest, practical skills and much more
  • Holiday celebrations
  • Food collections and packaging for our food pantry
  • Cultural events and museum trips
  • Friendly visiting for individuals and families
  • Soup and Sandwich making
  • Decorations and favor creation
  • Delivering holiday packages (more than 1700/yr)
  • On-going and on time hands-on opportunities for Bar/Bat Mitzvah, adults, youth, corporate, and congregational groups
  • Board and Marketing committee members

We are indebted to our 4000 over volunteers who work over 12,000 hours each year. Our collaborating partners include 20 schools and youth groups, 22 congregations and 17 agencies who share their skills and their resources to make our good work possible.
